About This Space
BioHACK's feed and chat are a place where people building self-care habits can inspire one another. They are not a place for competing or comparing in ways that make others feel small.
The standards below are part of the Terms of Service, and violations will result in enforcement action.
1. What Not to Do
Attacks on People
- Harassment, threats, insults, mockery, or public humiliation
- Body-shaming β judging or mocking someone's body shape, weight, or appearance
- Hate speech or incitement to discrimination based on race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, or disability
- Sustained harassment targeting a specific person
The most common harm in health and fitness communities is judging people's bodies. Even comments that sound like compliments are still judgment if the other person didn't ask for them.

- Spreading treatments with no medical basis as if they were fact
- Impersonating a medical professional, or giving individuals medical advice, diagnoses, or prescriptions
- Content that recommends extreme food restriction, drastic weight loss, or excessive supplement intake
- Content that promotes, glorifies, or provides specific instructions for self-harm or suicide
- Content that promotes or glorifies violence
Privacy and Safety
- Sharing or soliciting another person's private information (real name, address, contact details, workplace, medical information) without consent
- Posting photos or videos of others without their consent
- Approaching minors or attempting to contact them privately
Sexual Content
- Nudity or sexually explicit or suggestive content
- Unwanted sexual advances or messages
Other
- Spam, repetitive posting, advertising, multi-level marketing, or unauthorized commercial promotion
- Posting others' copyrighted work without authorization
- Impersonating another person
- Posting, scraping, or manipulating content through automated means
- Content that violates applicable law
2. What We Encourage
- Share your experience, but don't prescribe. "This is what worked for me" is different from "this is what you should do."
- Cite your sources. When sharing health information, note where you found it.
- Don't push numbers on others. Weight and personal records mean different things to different people.
- Welcome people who are just starting out.
3. Reporting and Blocking
Reporting
You can report posts, comments, messages, and users. Select Report from a post's β― menu or from a user's profile. Your identity as the reporter is not disclosed to the other party.
Blocking
When you block a user, neither of you can see the other's posts or messages, and you cannot contact each other. Select Block from their profile. You can view or remove blocks in Settings.
In an Emergency
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, don't wait for an in-app report β contact the police, fire department (119), or other relevant authorities first.

- Permanent account termination
Immediate permanent termination applies to: sexual content involving minors, credible threats, encouragement of self-harm, and repeat spam accounts.
